I am such a sinner;
Unworthy to be in Your presence,
yet you run into mine;
Even my gratitude is inadequate;
Help me, Lord, to love You better

Your Word is good food
for the malnourished soul;
It is sustaining,
It is fulfilling,
It is encouraging,
It is truth

It is the written Word
which reveals the Living Word--
by Whom things nonexistent
    suddenly were:
Light and sky,
Earth and stars,
Land and sea,
Fish, birds,
Animals
    and me

Your Word is good food
for the malnourished soul;
A little here,
A little there,
A little sweet,
A little meat,
A little taste-and-see;

Mm-hmm...
