Idle images
Vain visages
What do you worship?
If it’s not God
you’re breaking the Law
but you’re not odd

Commandment number two:
Carved images of...
 anything
make them, use them
serve them, do them...
Thou shalt not

For God is jealous
wants you to Himself
and Himself to you

Made of dirt
are you and I
and without God
empty inside

How do you fill?
Wood and stone
or flesh and bone?
What do you place
on only God’s throne?
