"Briefing"

Abe negotiated from fifty
and got all the way to ten;
Would it not be fun, and nifty,
to imagine such a discussion
between the Father and the Son?

“I love them, truly I do,
but Son, I intend to judge”

“I see, Father. What if there was one?”

“I would spare the world for one,
but We both know there is none”

“I will go; I will be that one”

“I see you, Son;
Very good, consider this done”

"Exchange"

It’s all about the One who did this
He told His one and only Son,
The very apple of His eye,
Him who never thought and
     Never said and
     Never did anything
That missed the mark,
He told him: “Become what
     You are not,
That they, who think and
     Speak and
     Do everything
That misses the mark,
     Might be like you are now,
     You know, become what they
     are not?”

“This is the task I have for you”

See? I told you it’s all about
The One who does this

"Doxologia"

Sing to the Lord!
For He showers us with His goodness
Promises made, promises kept
Faces held when we have wept

Dance for the Lord!
You fliers in the sky,
You swimmers in the sea,
You walkers of the earth

Shout for the Lord!
Declare His wonders,
You armies of Heaven
Raise your swords,
Spread your wings,
And shine His light!

Shout, shout, shout His praise!

Whom should be praised?
     Our Father in Heaven!

Whom must we raise?
     Jesus the Christ!

Who gets the glory?
     Holy Spirit, it’s His story!

"Fore Score!"

With this series, familiar I was not;
Saw the title and here was my thought:
“This is a poetic rhyming scheme,”
So formed already was my logging dream

For sharing your story, I give my thanks!
Here’s mine: On arrival, to knees I sank
and a sort of fishing I did go,
reeling in the green tube from below

The sheet was wet and just a tad saggy,
so gave a new one, complete with baggie;
Ere my commute, sought and signed,
