"Be Afraid"

Be afraid.
I shall not
sleep well tonight,
for I will
remember
my sins from today
and
the wrath of God:
He consumes
my every thought.
Is
Jesus
truly
my savior?
Is
He?
Yes!
He
is
my savior!
Truly,
Jesus
is
my every thought.
He consumes
the wrath of God
and
my sins from today.
Remember!
For I will
sleep well tonight.
I shall not
be afraid!

This is my first foray into palindrome poems, those that read the same forward and backward but whose meaning hinges in the middle on a key word or phrase. My favorite is "Blindness," available to view here.
